Copyright and Licensing
Open Access Policy
Groundings publishes under Open Access terms, generally under a CC-BY License. All previous and future publications are freely available without charge for the use of any person or institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. Appropriate credit must be given under the CC-BY License, both to the Author and the Journal.
Licensing and Copyright Terms
All authors whose papers make it through the selection and peer-review process are required to sign the following Publishing Agreement before publication:
“I, the author, hereby assign to Groundings Journal (Groundings Undergraduate) non-exclusive rights to reproduce this article in print and electronically (in full or in part) and to publish this work in any such media current or later developed under a Creative Commons CC-BY License. As author I retain all rights, including the right to be identified as the author wherever and whenever this article is published, and the right to use all or part of the article and abstract, with or without revision or modification in compilations or other publications. Any such later publication shall recognise Groundings Journal as the original publisher. Any views expressed in my work are my own, and not those of Groundings Journal, its Editorial Board, or of the Glasgow University Union.”
“I confirm that this article has not been previously published and is my own work, except where indicated by referencing. Images and figures included in this article are appropriately licensed for publication. The publisher shall not be responsible for copyright infringement on the part of the author. I recognise that is the author's responsibility to ensure their work is free of copyright and intellectual property infringement.”
