About the Journal
Contested Ground: Perspectives on Decolonial Practice is a public platform for sharing work, experiences and emerging ideas concerning decolonial practice and perspectives.
It provides an inclusive space for students, staff, practitioners, researchers, community contributors and organisations to share their work publicly, including those who may not have previous experience of academic publishing.
By community contributors, we mean people contributing knowledge, experience or perspectives from outside formal academic roles, including those with lived experience, members of community groups, volunteers, advocates, and people involved in local or third-sector organisations.
We welcome critical, reflective, creative and practice-based contributions that explore how knowledge is produced, whose perspectives are recognised, and how decolonial ideas are interpreted and enacted in different contexts.
Recognising that decolonial work is complex, situated and often contested, we encourage thoughtful dialogue across academic, professional, disciplinary and community boundaries.
