KM Dunn is a disabled bisexual writer and activist, who is long-term bedbound with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). In the absence of NHS care for ME patients, she has developed a keen interest in understanding the pathophysiology of the illness. Creative writing is one of her survival techniques; her poem addresses the all-encompassing impact of severe disease on a person’s life.
