Abstract

Sophie Menzies wrote Coagulation Chaos during the final year of her Physiology degree at the University of Glasgow. Written for her Garry Essay coursework, the piece uses creative storytelling and humour to reimagine the process of coagulation, and was later awarded the 2025 Physiology Garry Prize.
